Description
Genomic identification of microbes in the family Enterobacteriaceae using a qPCR-based assay.
Enterobacteria are gram-negative, rod-shaped (bacilli) bacteria that include several pathogens such as Shigella, Salmonella, Klebsiella and E. coli. Also known as Bile-tolerant gram-negative bacteria, several of the members live in animal intestines (enteric bacteria). Levels less than 1,000 cfu/g on plant material is recommended by AHP.
